Summer Trail Conditions
Updated: Friday June 5 @ 12pm
TRAILS ARE OPEN
Mountain Bike
The weekend looks incredible for having some fun in the woods. Good chance for rain on Friday afternoon which will make conditions excellent for Saturday riding.
WinMan handles rain extremely well due to our soil conditions and purpose built trails that direct water off the main trail surface. Trails will absolutely be open all day Friday and over the weekend given the small amount of predicted rain.
Current Closures: Papoose Connector is currently closed due to damage from snow melt and Happy Camper (formerly called BaseCamp) is still under construction.
Current Maintenance and Building: This week we focused on WinMan BaseCamp, including the trails through the campground. Over the next two weeks we will switch our focus to Papoose Connector and addressing routine June maintenance of the trails. This includes weed whacking and addressing any hanging branches from early season growth. If you'd like to volunteer to pitch in with maintenance, email Isaac at [email protected] to register.
We are also beginning construction on the return route of Happy Camper from Papoose Hub down to BaseCamp Campground.
If you are staying at WinMan BaseCamp this weekend (yes, reservations are now open!), mountain bikers can use the road to easily access Papoose Hub and the entire mountain bike system. Currently, LAMBO Spur is the only way in/out of that hub until the Papoose Connector trail can be repaired.
Hiking
All hiking trails are currently open and the forest is incredible right now with new blooms and leaf out system wide. However, the bugs are also out system wide. Please dress accordingly and bring bug spray if enjoying a walk, hike, or trail run.
Live GPS Grooming from Nordic Pulse
All dates and times listed reflect when trail grooming was completed on that route. We ask that you wait at least 1 hour after grooming has finished to allow the trails to set-up properly.
