WinMan BaseCamp

Stay longer. Stay trailside. Stay amazing.

You've done the ride. You've skied the loop. You know that feeling at the end of a great trail day — when you don't quite want it to be over.

BaseCamp is what happens when you stop fighting that feeling.

Stay until morning. Wake up in the woods, step outside, and do it all over again. Whether you're pitching a tent under the pines, pulling in with your rig, or slipping into a warm cabin after a long day in the cold, there's a spot here with your name on it.

At the center of BaseCamp is Pop's Lodge — hot showers, two cedar saunas, a lounge with wi-fi, and a workroom for whatever the trail threw at you. A camp host is on site to answer questions. Everything else unfolds at your own pace.

Come for the trails. Stay for all of it.

Rustic Sites

No hookups, no problem. This is the kind of camping that gets back to why you came here in the first place.

Each site comes with a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate, and two side-by-side parking spaces — roomy enough for tents, camper vans, rooftop setups, and truck campers. Walk out the back and you're already on the trail. Two bathhouses and a nearby water fill station keep things simple.

Simple sites. Real trails. Everything you need, right where you need it.

Electric Sites - 20 AMP

A little power. A lot of Northwoods.

Each site includes a 20-amp electrical hookup, picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate, and a level gravel tandem parking pad — ideal for tents, teardrops, pop-ups, and camper vans. Sites are spaced for privacy and tucked into the trees, so it actually feels like you're in them. Two bathhouses and a nearby water fill station have you covered.

Plugged in where it counts. Unplugged everywhere else.

Electric RV Sites - 50 AMP

Pull in, plug in, head out on the trails.

Each site includes a level gravel pad, picnic table, and fire ring with cooking grate. Power runs through 50-, 30-, and 20-amp receptacles. Odd-numbered sites back up to a mountain bike trail (under construction summer 2026); even-numbered sites open into wooded areas. No water or septic hookups at the site, but a fill station is nearby and we partner with Schomburg Park in Hurley for the closest dump station.

Your rig stays comfortable. You stay outside.

Tiny Cabins

COMING JUNE 2026

No setup. No teardown. Just show up and start your adventure.

Each cabin sleeps 4 with one queen bed and two lofted twins. Inside, a mudroom keeps gear organized and a table and chairs look out a full wall of windows into the woods. Outside, a private picnic table, fire ring, and e-bike charging outlet. Power and heat provided. Two nearby bathhouses offer flush toilets and hot showers. Two parking spaces per cabin.

Bring your own pillows and sleeping bags or sheets and blankets. Everything else is waiting for you.

Premium Cabins

COMING JUNE 2026

The most comfortable way to do the Northwoods — any time of year.

These all-season cabins sleep up to 6 with a queen bed, pull-out sofa, and a lofted twin area. A private bathroom and kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and sink make longer stays genuinely easy. Heated in winter, air-conditioned in summer. Outside, a front porch, picnic table, fire pit, and e-bike charging outlet, with two-vehicle parking and plowed driveways for year-round access.

Stay longer. You'll want to.

Pop's Lodge: The Heart of BaseCamp

After a day on the trails, Pop's Lodge is where you land. Part bathhouse, part gear room, part living room. Everything the trail day calls for is waiting inside. And then some.

Help Us Finish What We Started

BaseCamp is open and the trails are waiting — but we're not done yet. More cabins, more gathering spaces, and more ways to stay are still in the works, and your support helps make it happen.

The BaseCamp Campaign is working to raise $2.7 million for facilities that will contribute $500,000 or more each year directly back into the WinMan trail system. That's not a number on a page, that's grooming, maintenance, new trails, and a place that stays strong for generations.

Pop's Lodge is already here, fully funded thanks to a $250,000 lead gift from the Fotsch Family and more than 20 contributors who put their names — and their belief — into this project.

Naming opportunities start at $2,500 and go up to $50,000. Gifts can be made in full or pledged over three years. If you've ever wanted your story woven into this place, there's still room to make that happen.
